We master movement skills that improve body alignment. Our new skills become our new habits. Our new habits improve how we walk, stand, sit, bend, reach, squat, lift and twist all day. It is the quality of our daily movements that dictates the quality of our health, mobility, mental alertness, attitude and our quality of life as we age. Want to be healthy, strong and agile when you're age 90+?
1. SLOW WEIGHTS ONLINE classes use light weights and a slower pace to build endurance and strength. This live-stream online class is offered three days weekly and taught by a Restorative Exercise Specialist. It has been very popular for 15 years, so give it a try. Access is included in our unlimited monthly membership or by purchasing a class package or drop-in pass.
2. BE STRONGER ONLINE is our eight-week interactive program, offering classes four days a week. It is like having an excellent private strength-training session at home, coached by Nancy Burns. When you are serious about strength training, give this program a try. Details HERE. Included in our unlimited monthly membership.
3. AGE STRONG is an individualized, small-group strength and conditioning program that professionally and safely trains older adults to achieve great results. We know that you can build muscle mass, maintain or improve bone mineral density, regain more flexible joint movements, and feel more alive in your body as you age. This program is in person at Body Wisdom Studio and taught by Nancy Burns, Jean Gorecki, Cindy Snyder, Mary D'Elia, and assistant coaches. There is usually a wait list, so apply early.

I founded Body Wisdom Studio in 2007 with a mission to change the way we think about aging — to replace the old story of decline with a new paradigm of strength, vitality, and confidence at every stage of life. It has been an extraordinary journey and a privilege to witness so many individuals rediscover what’s possible for their bodies.
There is no single movement method that fits everyone. The real art of teaching movement lies in understanding the body in front of you — knowing which approaches to draw from, and how to apply them with precision and care to meet each person’s unique needs and goals.
Over the past 19 years, I’ve had the joy of studying with master teachers across a wide spectrum of disciplines. My certifications include:
Past certifications include Strength and Conditioning, Massage Therapy, Pilates Mat Exercise, and Aqua Exercise. I’ve also benefited from extensive training in the MELT Method, Yoga Tune Up, Original Strength, and TRE® – Trauma and Tension Releasing Exercises.
Each of these methods has deepened my understanding of how resilient, adaptable, and capable the human body truly is — at every age.
